Karicula Machine is something like Sesame Street of Japan in 1970's.
Music on the show are fabulous and movies are psychedelic.
Those images and atmosphere in the show are great resource for us now to imagine what popularity in Japan in 70's was like. It is clear that many elements of the show are inspired by Rock, Afro, and America of that time. I think Japanese in 70's enjoyed mixing various cultures together and also tried to make something different from origins.
